You might heard this before: “I Want to Enter My Kid in a Photo Competition” – proud parents are considering this option after hearing over and over again how cute their child is. Why would you want to enter your child into a children photo competition? We live in difficult times and I do NOT mean the recession by that. However, our work environments are changing and with it our future changes. While Grandpa and Grandma had the chance to work for one single employer their entire life and then to retire with a nice pension, this is almost fiction for all the folks of the baby boomer generation that will start to retire now. It gets even worse for anyone born after 1965.
So, anything that provides better financial security for a child or secures the child’s education is up for discussion. Getting a child early into a career as a movie star, TV shows, or even advertising is a great way to earn money towards college or retirement or to build a financial foundation for life. And many child actors or stars have indeed started their career through being discovered by talent agents when participating in a photo contest.
